The Spinners were the greatest soul group of the early '70s, creating a body of work that defined the lush, seductive sound of Philly Soul. Ironically, the band’s roots lay in Detroit where they formed as a Doo-Wop group during the late '50s. Songs made popular by The Spinners are Could It Be I’m Falling in Love, Mighty Love, I’ll Be Around, Working My Way Back to You, Cupid, The Rubberband Man...so many songs, so many favorites!

Cole was nominated for 7 Grammy awards and was the first woman to be nominated as Producer of the Year with no collaborators. Her second single, the anthemic “I Don’t Want to Wait” dominated charts for a year and then lived again as the well-loved theme-song for “Dawson’s Creek.”
